The trees get many visitors.I am raising the trees organically and trying to apply the principle of harmlessness as much as possible. I reason the trees should be able to provide for other beings besides just us. So, unless they are really wreaking havoc, I let them go about their business. Sometimes I fence them out (deer and groundhogs) sometimes I just move them elsewhere (Japanese beetles). It has worked so far, although I have had a few painful surprises and some unplanned fencing stints.
